Markatie Doane

Greetings! I am a sculptor, painter, and experimenter. I specialize in Lake Superior driftwood designs and oil paintings. My work celebrates the power and movement in our Great Lake. I hope that my art grounds you and reminds you that we are mere animals. Here only for a blink of time. 

 

I live in Ashland with my loving husband and two little girls. I hope to teach my children through example to follow their passion and trust their gut. 

 

I am grateful to the Bayfield Artist Guild for giving me the space and community to follow my dreams.
